Krishnayan Heritage Gwalior is a 100-year-old Maratha haveli built by descendants of Dadasaheb Phalke, retaining original rufous-dressed stone walls, stone pillars, and Burma teak double-leaf doors. The front reception area houses a traditional Indian-style swing (zoola), while the inner courtyard offers daybeds under cover for relaxation. Guests have access to an outdoor seating area and a shared lounge/TV area within the historic property.

Rooms & Bathrooms

The nine rooms include two suites, each with two bedrooms and a living area; all rooms feature high ceilings, antique furniture, and spacious bathrooms with rain showers, two-way mixer diverters, and countertop basins. Each bathroom is large, with glass partitions and premium sanitary fittings, though hot water comes from a small-capacity storage geyser. Deluxe King Rooms and Deluxe Twin Rooms are available, all with private bathrooms, air conditioning, and free WiFi.

Dining & Breakfast

Breakfast is included in the tariff and served daily in the dining area; options include continental, buffet, vegetarian, and Asian dishes with local specialties, jalebis, kachoris, parathas, pancakes, and omelettes. Lunch and dinner are made to order upon request, featuring home-cooked Maharashtrian fare prepared by the owner, Mrs. Lalita Phalke. Guests can also arrange cooking classes or themed dinner nights through the hotel.

The property is 2 km from Jai Vilas Palace and 13 km from Gwalior Airport, situated within the central shopping and market area but behind a manned main gate for seclusion. Electric auto-rickshaws are available outside the gate, and free on-site private parking is provided. Nearby attractions include Gwalior Fort, Sasbahu Temple, and the Bateshwar group of temples, with local vendors selling kachori, puri, and gulab jamun in the mornings.
